The IT For The Year 2011 Is Solidified By VA

As the Department of the Veterans Affair of the United States remains slated for one of the biggest boosts for the budget by the government during the coming year, the spending of the IT will stay flat, as is based upon the proposed budget by the President Obama for the fiscal year 2011. The total proposed budget by the VA for the fiscal year 2011 is 57 billion dollars which represents an increase of 20 percent from the amount for the year 2009 as said by the Department of the Veterans Affairs. According to one transcript of the press conference done by VA, in which the officials had been talking about the proposed budget of the department, however, the items that got a boost among them the IT was not found anywhere.
Todd Grams, who is the acting assistant secretary for the management, has said while talking about the IT component of the budget by VA that the findings of the company are frozen for the year 2011. He further said that this is the true reflection of the strategy used by the department under the leadership of Roger Baker, who is the chief information officer of the department, in order to have more discipline and also oversight to the management of the project and program.
