There are less vulnerabilities In Firefox than in IE

According to statistics of Symantec Company of 2006, web-browser with open code Firefox has been less vulnerable than Internet Explorer (IE) from Microsoft. From August till December 2006, there was found in Firefox 40 vulnerabilities, and in IE-54. The other most popular alternative browsers Opera and Apple Safari have only 4. According to common data of 2006, the number of vulnerabilities has amounted in Firefox and IE 87 and 92 correspondingly. At the same time, the tendency of growth of vulnerabilities is also on the side of Firefox: in the second half of the year (in comparison with the first half), on 15% less errors were found in Firefox, while in IE on 42% more.
