Aardvark: new service of social search
7th April 2009
A former Google specialist, Nathan Stoll, founded the company Aardvark, which is developing the service of the same name. The service is meant to get answers to questions directly from people.
In fact, Aardvark is a system of instant messaging with the ability of a smart social search. A user sends an interesting question to Aardvark via AIM, Gtalk or Windows Live Messenger. The system determines which of the people in the network (friends or friends of friends) can help answer the question and resends a message to a needed person.
Aardvark has a unique feature of categories and settings by means of which the system participates can indicate which questions and in which areas they could answer.
Thus an answer to a question is as alive as the question. Aardvark is now being developed and will be launched in a few months.
