Adobe Director 11.: new level of game developing

Within the Game Developer Conference, devoted to the development of video games, Adobe Systems company has introduced a new version of its package Adobe Director. Package Director 11.5 offers to the developers of games, multimedia materials and e-books a lot of new features, including a new mechanism of working with sound, the support of High Definition video and 3D virtual worlds.
New technologies in Director 11.5 support surround sound in 5.1 format and allows you to create complex sound effects due to mixing in real time. The support of H.264 format and streaming broadcast by RTMP helps to organize the transference of video in HD format. New module SketchUp 3-D Importer allows the developers to import models created in a popular package of 3D modeling Google SketchUp. Especially for developing games and simulations package Director 11.5 suggests a new physical model for virtual worlds, based on NVIDIA PhysX technology, with which you can simulate gravity and other physical phenomena. Besides the great number of new features for developers, Director 11.5 offers the support of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, and JavaScript and Lingo languages (built-in language for describing scenarios in Director package). Besides, Director 11.5 supports many off-site add-ons that help to improve the functionality of Director environment in the creation of multimedia products. Director 11.5 supports many popular operating systems including Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Windows Vista and Mac OS X 10.5 on Intel processors. Adobe Shockwave Player for playing the finished materials runs under all the above mentioned systems, and also Mac OS X 10.4 on PowerPC processors.
