Apple Final Cut Studio 2, a comprehensive set of tools for video editing

On April 15, 2007 the company Apple introduced the long-awaited second version of its integrated package for video editing Final Cut Studio 2, as well as new product called Final Cut Server, reports http://www.thinksecret.com. The package Final Cut Studio 2 now includes programs Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3, 2, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro 4, Compressor 3, and also new program of color correction and color set up named Color (the development of former Silicon Color Company). Besides the other important innovations Final Cut Studio 2 offers support for the new format of video Apple ProRes 422, which provides image quality like those in uncompressed HD-video with files size as in SD-video. Apple announced support of the format 422 by such major manufacturers of video cameras as Panasonic, Sony, RED, etc. A new feature SmoothCam removes from the frame the effects of shaking or inadvertent moving of the camera. Apple also announced IO-HD hardware, which allows conversion of videos into a format ProRes 422 in real-time. IO-HD is supposed to go on sale in July this year. The Final Cut Server (product purchased together with Proximity Corporation, formerly called ArtBox) is a new solution for managing digital video library and automation of material processing in Final Cut Studio 2. The Final Cut Server includes a cross-platform client module, which lets you view and sight on the materials locally or via the Internet. Besides, the program automatically categorizes large collections of material and provides convenient search on multiple storage volumes. From its progenitor, Proximity ArtBox package, a package of Apple Final Cut Server differs by its interface and the price.
