Cyber-Ark releases Privileged Identity Management Suite 5.0

Cyber-Ark company has announced a new product called Privileged Identity Management (PIM) Suite 5.0. This software will provide a secure access with administratorâ€™s rights to the corporate resources and ensures the observance of legislative and industry requirements to data security.
The proposed package combines the functionality of two other colutions from Cyber-Ark: Enterprise Password Vault (EPV) and Application Identity Manager (AIM). These solutions are used to control administrator passwords, providing access to corporate IT systems and applications.
PIM 5.0 includes a new component Privileged Session Manager (PSM), which is responsible for the registration of any activity carried out within the session of privileged access. Thus, the company management will be able not only to determine the date and time of access to confidential data and to determine the name of the user, but also to trace what actions were carried out with respect to the data. Session records are placed in a secure repository Digital Vault Server, which is accessible only to specialists, responsible for making the audit. Privileged Session Manager also provides an opportunity of interaction with the network equipment form browser window.
This functionality might be helpful when it comes to providing access to corporate systems of external specialist responsible for the maintenance or solution of problems in the equipment operation. PIM 5.0 solution allows generation of â€œsingleâ€ passwords, which will help to provide a user an access to the system with administrator privileges without the disclosure of confidential information. For the attention of client organizations new plug-in is proposed. It is designed for SAP Application Server, allowing automation of the process of account records management of SAP systems (including operations in changing, verification and consistency of accounts). Besides, Privileged Identity Management Suite is closely integrated with corporate systems of information security and event management (SIEM).
