Intel released 4-core processor

Intel Company has released a new 4-core processor QX6800 with frequency 2.93 GHz. QX6800 is the fourth 4-core processor for the desktop user systems, and for the present time is the fastest of the processors in this category presented officially. QX6800 operates on the bus with frequency of 1.06 GHz; it has L2 cache 8 MB and, as previous models QX6700 and 2-core Q6600 processor, is developed according to 65-nanometrovy technical process. Besides, QX6800 did not have a fixed speeder, and can easily accelerate. 4-core Intel Core 2 Extreme Today QX6800 costs $ 1,200, but in the third quarter of this year, the price will be reduced to $ 1,000.
