Internet Explorer 8 beats up Google Chrome in popularity

After a day the browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 was released its market share reached 1.7 percent, Computerworld reports, referring to the data of Net Applications Company. The market share of the browser Google Chrome, a beta-testing of which finished in December 2008, on February totals of this year it amounted 1.15 %. According to Net Applications, two days after the release of Internet Explorer 8 browser`s market share reached 2.22 %. In the morning of March 23, new Microsoft browser took 2.41 % of the market. The final version of Internet Explorer 8 was released on March 19. The first beta version of Internet Explorer 8 was released in the beginning of March 2008. The release candidate of the browser has emerged in January 2009. In February of this year, the browsers of Internet Explorer family took 67.44 % of the market. The second most popular browser is Firefox, which took 21.77 % of the market. The share of Safari is 8.02 %.
