Max Payne 3 is announced

The Rockstar Games publisher has officially announced the third part of the Max Payne series. As it reported in the official press release, the new action is developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game will be on sale in late 2009. Rockstar Vancouver Studio is responsible for the development of the project, which developed Bully action. The main hero of the game as always will be the detective from New York Max Payne. One of the founders of Rockstar Games Sam Houser said that the scene of Max Payne 3 will develop after the events of the second part of the series. The developers also added that the events of the new game wonâ€™t take place in New York. Apparently, Max Payne 3 would be a shooter with a view of a third person, like the previous parts.
The developers have already launched the official site of the new game, but there is no additional information yet. We can note that thereâ€™s no PC label in the list of the platforms on which the game will be released. The first part of Max Payne was released in summer 2001 on the PC. A bit later, the game was released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles, and in 2003 it was ported to the portable GBA console. Max Payne is the story of a policeman revenging for his wife and child, who were killed by unknown persons. The shooter was remarkable in the fact that gamers could slow down the time and annihilate all the nearby enemies at any time. In late 2003, they released the sequel named Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. Note that Remedy Entertainment studio developed the first two games. Currently it is working on action Alan Wake. We can also add that they filmed the movie on the basis of Max Payne, which was released in the end of last year.
