Microsoft announced new embedded OS for servers

Microsoft presented a new built-in OS designed to be installed on servers, Besides, they announced a number of special offers that will allow OEM-manufacturers to engage in designing, assembling and deploying their own high-performance and reliable server solutions. The platform of Windows Embedded Server is based on the core of the Microsoft Windows Server OS.
Microsoft also introduced a copy of the integrated development environment Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition, providing subscription for MSDN Embedded services.
Under the separate service of Windows Embedded Developer Update all the MSDN Embedded and MSDN Premium subscribers will have a special client software, which allows gaining access to cloud services, new drivers, the packs of BSP (board support packages), and software updates. The clients will also receive notification of the availability of new components and the functionality of new solutions from Microsoft before they are available.
