Microsoft began testing Office 2008 for Mac
5th April 2007
Microsoft Corporation began closed testing of a new version of office package for Macintosh, the release of which is expected in the second half of the year. It is still unknown how many people are involved in beta-testing, as well as whether all who wishes can take part in it with time, as it was before the release of Office 2007 for Windows. Office 2008 for Mac is the first version of the package, which supports Macs based on Intel. Besides, this version would have the support for new formats for saving the documents based on XML. Another novelty of the latest version is the program My Day, which provides quick access to information stored in the calendar, without having to launch email program Entourage.
