Service WSUS is intended primary for the corporate clients and works with the operating systems Windows 2000 server and Windows server 2003. Plugin makes it possible, in particular, to drive the process of the propagation of updates inside the local network and it's installation to the working stations of colleagues. Versions WSUS 3.0, as reports PC World, will obtain the upgraded interface, based on the console of administration OF THE MMC (Microsoft Management Console). Administrators can better check the process of the propagation of patches, and the updated system of reports will make it possible to gather the information about the safety of entire network on some server. Another special feature of WSUS 3.0 is the possibility of tuning the update policy for the separate groups of computers. Windows System Update Services 3.0 at present passes testing with the participation of the limited number of users. The second beta version WSUS 3.0 must appear before the end of the year and it will be accessible to the larger number of testers. Furthermore, in the second-half of present year corporation Microsoft plans to let out the service- pack for WSUS 2.0, which, among other, will include the support of the future operating system Windows Vista (presentation is outlined on January 2007). The final modification WSUS 3.0, as it is expected, will appear in first half of the following year.
