mp3HD: format for audiophiles

Thomson Company has announced the development of software for creation and playing of audio content in a new format mp3HD. mp3HD files are larger in size in fourthly than traditional MP3-tracks.
Software includes tools that allow you to convert WAV-files into mp3HD format from the command line, and also a plug-in for Winamp players, ensuring their playing in PC. Perhaps many users would not notice the difference with the old MP3-format, but people with keen ear must note a higher quality of the sound â€“ mp HD uses coding without loss. Tracks of Audio CD have a bit rate of 1411 Kb/s, while mp3HD is characterized by a variable bit rate from 500 to 900 Kb/s. The important thing is that the new format is compatible with modern MP3-players and thus there should be no problems with playing.
