New version of MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 5.0 has been released

MontaVista Software Company has announced a new version of MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 5.0 package. This is the high-grade built-in OS, filled with excellent means for application development. The new version of OS developed on the basis of updated core of Linux 2.6.18; it can be a match for the traditional real-time OS in the terms of performance. Besides, the developers of MontaVista managed to minimize the size of occupied memory. Due to that the manufacturers will have an efficient and professional OS, suitable for integration into miniature devices with limited memory resources. MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 5.0 also offers a new version of Application Developer Kit (ADK) tool â€“ a set of powerful and easy attached modules for Eclipse.
