Notepad++ 5.3: good substitution for Notebook

Notepad++ is an editor which is an alternative to the standard editor Notepad utility, which is included into the delivery of Windows. This program can be used by programmers for editing the code or by everybody who needs a good text editor. Among the program features are Syntax highlighting, support of a large number of languages (C, C + +, Java, XML, HTML, PHP, Java Script, ASCII, VB/VBS, SQL, CSS, Pascal, Perl, and Python), multilingual support, several documents operation, the function of searching for expression in the text, etc.
In the latest version they have expanded search features, corrected bugs, added a visual display of line number.
