Notepad++ is a text editor for programmers and those looking for more functionality than that offered by Windows Notepad.
The product features highlighting text and minimizing blocks, according to the syntax of the WYSIWYG programming language (print and get what you see on the screen). Other features include: customizable mode of syntax highlighting;
words auto-completion;
simultaneous work with multiple documents;
support of regular expressions search/replace;
full support of dragging text fragments;
dynamic changing of viewing windows;
automatic detecting files state;
zooming;
support of a large number of languages;
notes;
plugins;
And man y other options.
Notepad++ is based on the Scintilla component (a very powerful editing component), written in C++ with the help of only Win32 API and STL, which provides maximum performance with a minimum program size.
