Only 12% users want Windows Vista

During the poll, carried out by Harris Technology Group, where about 2, 2 thousand people were questioned; it was revealed that only 12% of users expressed willingness in the next 12 months to update their system to Windows Vista. For all that, 67% replied affirmative “no”, and 20% reported that they are not sure. It should be noted that Windows Vista is the most successfully marketed OS for the whole history of Microsoft. Thus, according to developer`s data over the first month (February) 20 million Vista licenses were sold. Sales of previous operating system, Windows XP, only to the end of second month of the release amounted 17 million items. According to Milton Ellis the vice-president of Harris Technology Group, so small number of users, who want to install the latest version of the operating system, is due to the low level of confidence in Microsoft`s words that Vista will greatly increase the abilities of personal computers.
