Second beta version of Chrome gets stabilized
7th April 2009
Despite the release of Chrome a few months ago, Google announced reopening of the beta-testing its Web browser, and announced a new public beta-version of the second version of the product.
According to the developers, the proposed version differs from the previous one by its significantly increased performance (25-30%) and stability.
Users are welcome to appreciate some new useful features, such as auto-filling in forms, scaling text and graphic elements of web pages (full page zoom) and automatic scrolling.
In addition, users are sure to like quite an original version of the «split-screen» mode. In order to view the content of the page in a separate window, you simply need to drag the desired tab to the right or left border of the browser window.
The proposed beta of Google Chrome runs under Windows XP (Service Pack SP2 or later) or Vista.
