The Insider Of Ninth State Department Was Found Guilty

One employee of the state department has been sentenced to 12 months of the probation for accessing more than 60 of the confidential sort of application files in an illegal manner as said by the Department of Justice of the United States. Debra Sue Brown, who is 47 years of age and belongs to Oxon Hill, Md., had also been ordered to perform 50 hours of the community service by John M. Facciola, the Magistrate judge of the U.S. present in the District of Columbia. Brown had been pleaded guilty on the 11th of December in year 2009 to a charging her of one-count criminal information with the computer access which was unauthorized.
As said by the documents of the court, Brown has also worked on the full time basis for the State Department since the month of September in 1995 as the file clerk and also as the file assistant in the Bureau of the Consular Affairs. Brown also admitted, in pleading guilty that she had the access to the computer database of the official State Department in the regular course of the job which also included the PIERS that is the Passport Information Electronic Records System that contained all of the imaged applications of the passports dating back to the year 1994.
