Windows Vista Downloader is cracked

At the hacker Black Hat Conference in Amsterdam, the experts from India demonstrated the special program that boots Windows Vista passing over the check system of digital signature of applications. Startup program runs with boot CD or DVD, and then starts Vista from under itself in passing substituting files in memory, which are responsible for the protection. In the demonstration version VBootkit permitted to start command interpreter cmd.exe with system â€œhighestâ€ rights that does not have a digital signature from Microsoft. The demonstration was held on candidate release of Vista RC2. Designers Nitin and Vipin Kumar from NV Labs Company have said that they could release the program even before the official release of the system, but they were short of money to complete the work in time. Technically, the process of code changing is performed by intercepting the hardware interrupt of disk working: the data read from the disk are modified first by interceptor, and then enter the system, which is acquiring them. The code is published in the blog of IT-security specialist Bruce Schneier, reported Blackhat.com.
