Wine 1.0 - launching Windows applications under Linux

It looks like that the release date of the open PO Wine responsible for emulation of Windows on computers running under Linux, is just around the corner.
The product (the development of which started in mid-90-ies) will provide Linux-users an opportunity to launch most popular applications under their favorite platform.
Today Wine supports nearly 1300 software products, including the graphical package of Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Microsoft Office applications.
The version Wine 1.0 will be released in June this year. Until this moment, the developers have much to do: fix errors, perform tests on compatibility with most common products, etc…
