Borderlands: new graphics, old gameplay

Gearbox Studio has not been too talkative about the product of Borderlands recently. Only some time ago PC Gamer published new pictures of this unusual action. The pix clearly show that the developers shift the focus slightly and changed the visual style of the project.
Gearbox officially admits that the changes were caused by the desire to make the game more interesting in the visual terms. Nevertheless, the new design did not affect the gameplay at all. In the nearest future we should expect updated illustrations at the official site of the project.
The authors also promise to publish at the E3 2009 the demonstrative working version of Borderlands so that all visitors could evaluate the project alive.
