Docs created Microsoft Office 2007 do not correspond to ISO standards
4th May 2008
Text documents created by means of Microsoft Office 2007 and saved as a file of Office Open XML (OOXML), do not meet the latest specification of this format adopted by the international organization ISO.
The text editor of Word from the package of 2007 Microsoft Office System saves documents in a format OOXML, which does not correspond to the full extent to the specification ISO/IEC 29500. Experts hope that Microsoft will sooner or later solve the problem, although no one can guarantee this fact.
The format Office Open XML (OOXML) was adopted by ISO as an international standard about three weeks ago.
By the way, soon ISO intends to check for compliance with the specifications of ISO/IEC 26300 the format of OpenDocument, a direct competitor to Office Open XML.
