Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1: in closed testing
27th May 2008
Mozilla announced the “freezing” of the code Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1, which seemed to developers so well-elaborated that if not unexpected serious mistakes, the first “Candidate” would be the final version of the browser. Now RC1 is being tested involving almost 1.2 million users. According to the developers, further “evolution” of Firefox 3 will depend on the results of testing RC1.
If the browser`s stability is put beyond the doubt, we`ll see the final version pretty soon. Otherwise, there`ll be as many RC, as Firefox needs to get into shape. Thus, no one can predict the date of releasing Firefox 3, but we can assume to guess that it will be in June. The initial release was scheduled for the end of 2007.
