Google founders received their annual salary of $ 1

The founders of Google Inc. Sergey Brin and Larry Page and its general manager Eric Schmidt in 2008 have received a salary of 1 $, RIA Novosti informs. As France Presse agency tells referring to data of the U.S. Securities and Exchange, this amount of salary is from 2004 when the company held IPO. Thus, in total of 2008, bonuses were not calculated to Brin, Page and Schmidt.
Page and Brin, at the moment, own two major shares in the capital of the corporation - 29.2 and 28.6 million stocks, respectively. Schmidt with his 9 million stocks is the third largest owner of Google. Unlike the founders of the company, Eric Schmidt, in 2008 received a compensation of around half a million dollars, but most of these funds were spent on payment for transportation and protection costs. For the past year, the cost of Google stocks has dropped almost twofold. On Wednesday, company`s securities bargained at 348 dollars, compared to 700 dollars at the end of 2007.
