HDDLife Professional 3.0: putting hard drives in order

The BinarySense Company has released a new version of HDDLife designed to track the status of HDD. It monitors temperature of hard drive. If it grows by more than 10 degrees, the program must tell you about it. HDDLife works with HDDâ€™s DE, Serial ATA and SCSI. It also identifies faults in the hard disk. HDDLife estimates â€œHealthâ€ of hard drive by a 100-point system and visually represents the results. In addition, HDDLife Professional maintains statistics on the use of disk and the data on its occupancy rate. You can also manage noise during operation and the remote data transfer. There is also a special free version of the program which is available as a plug-in for Google Desktop.
The latest version has the following innovations: - Detailed information on SMART;
- Support of external USB Hard Drive enclosures. Realized work with IO-Data drive and Western Digital Passport, the list will be updated;
- Indication of read / write to disk processes in the system tray;
- Controlling of HDD power consumption;
- Full support of Windows Vista.
