Infogrames buys Atari

Infogrames bought the “remnants” of Atari, dragging the latter out of the terrible financial hole. This event is special interest to shareholders of Atari, who are already sick and tired of looking in the future with horror. The amount of the bargain is $ 11 million, which is not too much by today`s standards. Under the contract, Infogrames (the main shareholder of Atari) receives at its disposal the whole company, which automatically becomes its unit. The transition will be completed at the end of the third quarter of 2008.
Recently, Atari have been experiencing bad times. As we can see, instead of bankrupt the firm agreed to be given to Infogrames.
