Microsoft captured gamers

Core gamers are the main audience, buying major part of serious video games. It is these people, that the market was targeted before Nintendo appeared, having attracted users by interactive entertainments. Microsoft contends that they were able to win these â€œcore gamersâ€. This was known from an interview to Next Generation (Edge) given by Aaron Greenberg. According to him, 20 million boxes of Xbox 360 sold speak eloquently about the preferences of gamers and about the fact that PlayStation 3 is late and lost the battle.
However, it is not necessary to agree with Microsoft on this issue. Next Generation was sceptical about the words of the Microsoft representative. Still, LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4 should help PlayStation 3 in restoring its positions. Do not forget also that Grand Theft Auto IV will be released soon under two competing platforms. Who is going to win? The time will show.
