Microsoft has released the beta version of Windows CE 6

Corporation Microsoft within the framework of conference Mobile & Embedded DevCon in Las-Vegas (state Nevada) reported the production of the beta version of the operating system Windows CE 6. The program platform Windows CE is intended for the portable and built in devices, in particular,GPS navigators, industrial terminals, television prefixes, medical equipment, etc. on Microsoft assertions , the new modification of Windows CE obtained kernel with the rebuilt architecture and provides the possibility of simultaneous maintenance up to 32 thousand processes. Furthermore, the functions of safety were extended and operational stability was improved. The operating system Windows CE 6 inherited the basic possibilities of the previous versions of this program platform. Among such functions should be mentioned the support to Direct3D Mobile technology,Windows error Reporting set of instruments, which facilitates the debuging of the equipment being developed. Windows CE 6 application theoretically will help to accelerate the process of creation and conclusion of new production for the market, which, in turn, will make it possible to reduce the cost of terminal devices. The beta version of operating system is already accessible to the producers of equipment and to the developers of software. Thus far nothing have been said about the date of the presentation of the final version of Windows CE 6.
