Microsoft released anti-phishing filter for IE6

Corporation Microsoft has released anti-phishing filter for browser Internet Explorer of the sixth version. As reports eWeek with the reference to the statements of representatives Microsoft, addition uses the same technology, as browser IE7. Really, this technology is realized somewhat otherwise. If the user of the sixth version of Internet Explorer goes on the Web site, which is adapted for conducting the phishing - attacks, browser automatically blocks the possibility of the input of personal information. However, in the case with IE7 the visitor of harmful resource is being redirected to the page with the warning. At the same time in both cases the user can continue work with the site at his own risk. The addresses of phishing- sites are illuminated by the red color. The anti-phishing technology of Microsoft is based on the use of "black" lists, which contain the addresses of phishing sites, and also the "white" lists, comprised by user itself. Each time the filter works with the link for IE6 not included in "white" list, address is being transferred for the checking on Microsoft server. If it seems that the link is included into the "black" list, the address line of browser will be marked by red color. The resources, which arouse suspicion, are illuminated by yellow. It is important to note that filter for the sixth version of browser Microsoft it is possible to install', only if on the computer there is installed MSN Search Toolbar panel. Furthermore,it is required the operating system Windows XP with the second service- pack.
