Ninja Gaiden Sigma II will have cooperative mode

The game Ninja Gaiden Sigma II will have a possibility of cooperative mode, Eurogamer writes. This statement was made by the representatives of Tecmo company at the special press conference in San Francisco, which was held within the Game Developers Conference 2009. The developers have also declassified a character that will appear in the new game.
Besides Ayane, which was reported earlier, Team Ninja studio will add in Ninja Gaiden Sigma II the girl named Momiji. Previously, she appeared in the game Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for the portable Nintendo DS console. Project producer Yosuke Hayashi has noted that the additional characters canâ€™t be managed initially. However, gamers will be able to choose them during the joint passing. We remind that Ninja Gaiden Sigma II is developed for PlayStation 3. The game is an improved version of Ninja Gaiden II, which was released last year for Xbox 360. According to the developers, the main character Ryu Hayabusa will be able to use in a battle new types of weapons and magical attacks, and also will meet new enemies on his way. Ninja Gaiden Sigma II will be sold this autumn.
Note that the project developer Tomonobu Itagaki disputed that the games of Ninja Gaiden series were released for PlayStation 3. However, at present his is not an employee of Tecmo. Itagaki had left Team Ninja studio, which was headed by him, immediately after release of Ninja Gaiden II. Besides, the developer sued Tecmo for the fact that they havenâ€™t paid him bonuses promised for the development of the fighting Dead or Alive 4.
