Pidgin 2.0: new name of a well-known messenger

A new version of the popular open source client for instant messaging Pidgin 2.0 has been released. The program was formerly known as Gaim, but had to change the name under pressure from AOL. Pidgin is one of the most famous IM-messengers for Linux, which is released for Windows also. Gaim can work with various protocols. The second version of the program has been almost completely rewritten. Thus, in Gaim 2.0 you can see the completely updated status system and test the updated scrolling. Besides, they improved the features of file transference through AIM and ICQ protocols, added support for Apple Bonjour and voice connection.
