Quake Live: new maps and more

The free online shooter of Quake Live has been added with fresh update in May. id Software is going to add to the game new maps, training modes, as well as a more balanced process of finding a worthy opponent. In the near future the developers are also planning to introduce a lot of other wonderful innovations. In particular, they will add support of Mac and Linux, private server sand games, and so on... Greatest plans of the developers cab be found at the official forum of the project.
Quake Live is different from most games of the kind by the fact that users can play a classic 3D-shooter in their browser window without downloading any special software client. At the moment the project is on the stage of open beta testing.
