SEAMonster: sophisticated pictures scaling

The developers of Shai Avidan and Ariel Shamir proposed a unique solution in the form of the Seam Carving technology. This solution enables scaling digital images, without damaging its content. The software carefully scans the picture and finds non-informative areas (eg, identical areas of the sky or water surface), which can be removed form the picture. When increasing the size of the image, Seam Carving allows you to build these areas by adding thin vertical or horizontal stripes.
The technology can be used to solve more complex tasks, for example, to trace the removal individual objects from the image.
SEAMonster is a new application for Windows OS, which provides the use of the Seam Carving technology for accurate editing and scaling digital images. Unlike the original implementation of the technology, the program SEAMonster guarantees high precision of editing due to changes in the level of individual pixels.
Besides, SEAMonster is a free product.
