Servers of Pirates of the Burning Sea close down
4th May 2008
Sad news for fans of Pirates of the Burning Sea. The company-developer declares the close down of seven (!) out of the 11 servers launched in January this year. This is done in order to collect more players on the existing virtual spaces, which should pull the gameplay to a decent level.
In reality, however, such actions can be explained by the fact that Pirates of the Burning Sea is simply of no need. There is also an assumption that the project will repeat the fate of Auto Assault NetDevil, which, with all its advantages was never able to win the attention of the audience. Actually, it seems that today the market of MMORPG is already overfilled. After the release of Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning and the Age of Conan there is no room for newcomers.
