1st May 2009
Windows Vista has finally won 30% of the market, as it is reported by StatCounter. It took Microsoft two years to reach this level in the USA. The system Windows XP, in its turn, is losing its share, and is taking now 58% of the market.
According to analysts, the number of Vista users is increasing evenly, slowly. Researchers also note that some users of XP don`t move to Vista, but to Mac OS X. Over the past two months, share of Apple OS has grown from 6.6% to 8.3%. In its turn, Linux continues to be the system for enthusiasts, taking a little more than 0.5% of the market.
The final version of Windows 7 can appear in September already. According to forecasts, the system will be “welcome” both by ordinary users and by corporations.
