After a large quantity of test versions, it was released the first official version of the operating system PC-BSD 1.0, intended for the personal computers. The program platform Pc-bsd is built on the basis of the initial code FreeBSD 6.0 and uses the manager of the desktop KDE 3.5.2. The operating system Pc-bsd is simple in the installation and the use and it is suitable well for an acquaintance with BSD- platforms. In modification Pc-bsd 1.0 developers removed the errors, revealed from the moment of the release of the previous version of program platform, and they also introduced a number of improvements and additions. For the work with the operating system will be required the computer on the basis of processor Intel Pentium II, the minimum 128 mb. RAM and 4 Gb of free space on the hard disk. At present all users can download free of charge ISO-file with the final version of Pc-bsd 1.0. Furthermore, it is possible to acquire an optical disk with distributive of OS. Product is distributed on the conditions of BSD license.
