VideoLAN 0.9.9: advanced media player

The player of VideoLAN is very suitablke for using in networks to view the Media stream. This tool can not only play video transmitted via the network, but also re-transmit streamlined data. The program supports UDP Unicast, UDP Multicast (MPEG-TS), HTTP, RTP / RTSP, MMS. As the app is primarily oriented for playing video rather than audio, it provides a lot of corresponding settings.
So, using the utility you can watch DVD, video files in MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 / DivX, as well as use it as a tool to work with video capturing devices. A special wizard will enable you to convert streaming video into one of the formats supported by the program. The latest version fixes several bugs, and updates decoders.
