VirtualDub 1.6.18 and 1.7.2: free solution for video editing

The next version of the popular utility for work with video has been released. This program is distributed for free and is widely used for video capture and also cutting-sticking and compress of files. The program supports filters, and has a small size.
In the stable version 1.6.18 they corrected some errors related to the emergency closure of the program when clicking Cancel in the box of videofilters list, and also to the mode of video capture.
In the trial version 1.7.2 they also fixed some errors, and besides there is the opportunity to control the processor resources that the program consumes. There is also an opportunity to add new import formats, due to the new plugin.
