WildPackets OmniAnalysis 5 will provide an analysis of “virtual” traffic

The WildPackets Company has announced a new version of the platform OmniAnalysis 5, which will include high-quality products and services responsible for the rapid gathering information on the network performance and an exhaustive analysis of the collected data.
One of the most significant additions to OmniAnalysis Platform is a new service Omni Virtual Network Service, which will allow IT-professionals to study the “invisible” traffic transmitted between virtual servers. This traffic does not come beyond the physical network segment, and, thus, can not be intercepted and studied by means of traditional instruments. The service runs on the virtual Windows-servers and allows analyze network traffic by means of OmniPeek Analyzer.
Another excellent service WildPackets Strategic Network Audit focuses on heads of all ranks and profiles. Through this service chiefs of IT-departments and other units will be able to accurately and objectively assess the performance of corporate networks and determine its readiness to changes (such as new VoIP-solutions).
OmniAnalysis 5 also provides advanced features for data collection, which can serve as evidence in investigations and trials.
The release of the new platform is scheduled for early summer this year.
