Adobe BrowserLab: testing sites on compatibility
20th June 2009
The company Adobe Systems announced the beginning of testing their new service of Adobe BrowserLab, designed for web developers. The new service enables web designers to quickly test their sites on performance under different browsers and different operating systems. The service, formerly known under the code name of Meer Meer provides accurate screenshots of visualization of web pages and includes many tools for viewing diagnosis of sites. For example, you can simultaneously display pages visualized by different browsers, next to each other, overlay them on one another, using varying degrees of transparency, etc. Thus, the use of the service can detect and eliminate errors of incompatibility of sites with different browsers.
Adobe BrowserLab supports Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x; Firefox 2.x and 3.x; Safari 3.x, and other browsers. It can also work with different browsers, without installing them. Web designers can compare browsers, using a special interface, which works via Adobe Flash Player 10.
