AVG Mobile Security - protection of mobile devises based on Symbian against viruses and spam

Viruses for mobile phones have long been out of “infancy”.
Modern business people are using frequently mobiles for work with e-mail and sharing of important information, unaware of the fact that the phone may become the same object of hacker attacks, as well as a notebook or personal computer. During the studies, the company Grisoft, the manufacturer of protecting means, has managed to detect about 350 different types of threats, distributed through channels of mobile connection and affecting cellular phones. A particular attention, specialists from Grisoft have paid to studying of the phenomenon of “mobile spam”, which has not yet become a disaster, but gradually increasing.
Following the gathered information, the company has released a package AVG Mobile Security - a set of means for protecting cell phones based on Symbian UIQ 3.0 (the list of platforms will be updated). According to the manufacturer, this solution can protect users from viruses, spam and a number of other threats. Beta-version of the product can be found at www.grisoft.com.
