Creating your own modes for Left 4 Dead

The company Valve announces the beginning of open beta testing a special set of tools needed to create modes for the game Left 4 Dead. To gain access to this program, you need to log into Steam, turn on the “tools” tab and start downloading. The archive contains slightly modified applications, which are used by Valve for creating the game itself.
Hardworking fans will be able to build new rates, invent new properties, change the lighting and make a lot of other interesting things. In the near future the company plans to upgrade the system of automatic selecting opponents, that it could take into account the user's content.
We are confident that the network will soon be crowded with a huge amount of maps for Left 4 Dead.
