ESET Mobile Antivirus: first beta version for Windows Mobile

The company ESET has introduced the beta version of its antivirus solutions for smartphones based on Windows Mobile called ESET Mobile Antivirus.
This compact program differs by its high speed and accuracy of work, and also offers opportunities of heuristic definition of malicious software. Traditional approaches to the implementation of anti-virus systems with their large databases of virus signatures are poorly applied to mobile platforms. Signature must be continually updated, and to work of full antivirus in the mobile device the resources of memory and processor are insufficient.
The package ESET Mobile Antivirus does not require many resources. It is an effective solution for mobile platforms, therefore.
Mechanisms of scanning by a user request allow ESET Mobile Antivirus to check most important and sensitive files, including those earned via wireless connections. The built-in magazine captures all the antivirus` actions, so that the user can see all acts of the anti-virus system for the entire period of work.
Mechanism of automatic update supports flexible periodicity of downloading updates, and allows even disabling the automatic update.
At the moment the package ESET Mobile Antivirus is in the stage of beta-version and is being distributed free of charge. The commercial version is going to be released till the end of the year.
