Internet Explorer 8 is postponedInternet Explorer 8 is postponed
9th June 2008
The second beta version of Internet Explorer 8 will be released in the third quarter of this year. This information was published in the blog of one of the product managers from Microsoft.
This delay is due to the fact that the corporation wants to give Web developers more time to adapt sites under the new version. As it is known, the eighth version of Internet Explorer visualizes pages according to web-standards, and those sites optimized for Internet Explorer 7, can be displayed in the new version incorrectly.
In order to facilitate the work of web developers, Microsoft offers a special meta-tag, which can be used at the level of pages or entire sites. After the insertion of this meta-tag Internet Explorer 8 displays pages the same way as IE7 did, without making any additional changes in their code.
