MathWorks releases Simulink 3D Animation
1st June 2009
The company MathWorks introduced a new product of MathWorks Simulink 3D Animation. This toolset can be used by scientists and engineers for 3D modeling and visualization of models of any degree in virtual environments. First known as the Virtual Reality Toolbox, the new tool of Simulink 3D Animation will help to ensure a close link between the packs of MATLAB and Simulink and virtual reality systems.
By means of Simulink 3D Animation, specialists will be able to create «virtual universals» using the VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) and observe the dynamic behavior of the designed system in the three-dimensional environment. The program also allows manipulation of various components of the system. The package can also be used for visualizing simulation systems in real time.
The package of Simulink 3D Animation includes a special component for rendering detailed three-dimensional scenes and playing animation of high quality. Users are guaranteed support of a wide range of specialized devices for data input, including joysticks and 3D-mouse.
Compatibility: Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Linux and Macintosh.
