PeakStream: one more purchase of Google

Google Company made one more investment, buying PeakStream. This company is elaborating software to help developers to create applications for multiprocessor systems. In particular, applications from PeakStream were used for GPU programming.
Experts say that, most likely, Google will use PeakStream lifelengths to increase the capacity of its servers. Currently, Google has enough x86 computers that support the work of search engine. The use of GPU instead of processors will enable the company to get more capacity from each computer. Google has not confirmed officially these assumptions and says that PeakStream technology can help the company in the development of high-performance applications.
