Pidgin 2.0.2: a new name of the known messenger

A new version of the popular open source client for instant messaging Pidgin 2.0. has been released. The program was previously known as Gaim, but had to change its name as a result of pressure from AOL. Pidgin is one of the most famous IM-messengers for Linux, which is also available for Windows. Gaim can work with a variety of protocols. The second version was almost completely rewritten. Thus, in Gaim 2 fully updated status system can be seen, as well as the updated test scrolling. In addition, features of file transferring through protocols AIM and ICQ have been improved, added support for Apple Bonjour and voice network.
The latest version of the program works better with some plugins, errors related to smiles have been fixed, it is now possible to obtain information about changes users profiles.
