Shock: Maxis leaved SimCity

Since the release of the large project SimCity 4: Rush Hour four years have passed. Since then the serial SimCity practically hasn`t developed. But today Electronic Arts has announced the return of franchise, announcing the game Simcity Societies. The product will be on shelves of American shops in winter of this year. As a main platform they have chosen PC.
SimCity is developed by Tilted Mill Entertainment Company (Caesar IV, Children of the Nile). For many fans of the serial this news has become a real shake. The fathers of the serial from Maxis will not really develop this product (instead they are working on ambitious Spore).
SimCity Societies will greatly be different from the previous parts of SimCity. The details are not known yet.
