Square Enix ruins anything creative

The project of Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes is a desperate attempt of the game fans to build a sequel based on the original game of Ghrono Trigger. Alas, the publishing company of Square Enix ruined this dream by banning the release and demanding to destroy all working copies. It happened a few weeks before the scheduled release.
However, Square Enix did not think it was enough. They sent threatening messages to various enthusiasts of fan remakes/sequels, including Chrono Compendium. Well, there are not so many sane people willing to have legal proceedings with the studio, even taking into consideration that the latter is putting it on when declaring such demands.
As for the project itself, we have no choice but only to feel very sorry about that, as it was very promising.
